We are pleased to announce that Urban Makers will be bringing handmade back to Old Spitalfields Market (OSM) from September 8th 2018. One of the oldest markets in London, with a rich history, we feel privileged to be hosting a makers market on alternate weekends until November 18th. With a footfall of over 25 000 people per day on the weekends, we look forward to showcasing an array of unique handmade products and makers.
The launch weekend takes place on September 8th and 9th.
The marketing team at OSM will be will be working hard promoting the launch and dates leading to Christmas. We ask that you put your best 5 photos – portrait and product in the dropbox – link below. The strongest images will be used in profiles on social media, the OSM newsletter, gift edits, signage and press. Please ensure that each image has your business name as the file name.
We are looking for original, well made, inspired design and we require that the products you sell are designed by you, handmade or made locally to you. If they are made elsewhere they must be ethically sourced and kind to the environment.
We have access to between 20 – 30 stands in a branded Urban Makers section of the market, on the following dates.
Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th (launch weekend) £47.5 per day
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd £75 per day
Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th £85 per day
Saturday 20th (not the 21st) £85
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th £95 per day
Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th £95 per day

Each stand is modular and can be altered to accommodate each trader. A document with all of this info will be available soon.
We have managed to secure a half price discount for the launch weekend and a sliding scale of prices going into November. Please fill out the form below selecting the date/s you would like.
If you would like to run a workshop from 10 – 12pm there is a space in the bar, pictured below, this will be free to traders. If you wold like to make use of this space you would need to ensure that you have someone to look after your stand during the workshop. It can sit approximately 16 – 20 people and you can set up pre-booked tickets and have signage for drop-ins on the day. Please specify in the form below if you are keen and we will get back to you with more information.
Applications close for September on August 12th
October and November dates will remain open until September 9th and October 7th, respectively
Insurance – Public Liability insurance is required. If accepted we will ask you to send your documents.
Photos – please place up to 5 product photos (maximum size 1.5mb) including one photo of you (preferably making in your studio or at your desk, or at a makers market) in our dropbox – click here
